Built in the far reaches of Amaranthine, the engineer's outpost of New Chigod was built raised as a shelter and store for the builders of the Stormspire Fortress .
As the stormspire mines proved to be exceptionally lucrative, the outpost expanded to include a farm, foundry and personal homes alongside the common house and storeroom originally constructed. With the planned completion of the Stormspire, New Chigod will remain an important stopping point for ground troops travelling to and from Sanctuary .
